How far is the Hotel from the airport?

Taxi ride (€ 23) is about 20 minutes.  You can use public transport from the airport to Valletta, and the you take a bus direct to St.Julians.  By July 2011 there will be a direct bus from the airport to St.Julians.

Are there any banks in the vicinity?

Up the road from the hotel there are 2 major banks and plenty of ATM’s which accept all major credit cards.

How far is the nearest shopping centre?

Just opposite the hotel there is Baystreet shopping mall.  A few minutes up the road there is a shopping centre in Paceville, however the nearby city of sliema is one of the main shopping centres in Malta.
